Terms of Service

Last updated: September 6, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Tsunava - the mobile app and the services available at tsunava.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The agreement is between you and Bytes Of, a sole proprietorship registered in Denmark under CVR number 46709551. "We", "us" and "our" in these terms mean Bytes Of.

2. The service

Tsunava helps groups track shared expenses on trips, split costs, and settle balances. It is a record-keeping tool: Tsunava does not hold, transfer, or process money between users. Settling a balance in the app records the payment; the actual transfer of money happens outside Tsunava, between you and your friends.

Balances and conversions are calculated from the rate recorded on each expense. Those rates come from third-party sources and are indicative. You are responsible for verifying amounts before making real payments based on them.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Tsunava. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

4. Free plan and Unlimited unlock

On the free plan you can own one active trip at a time; joining trips created by others is unlimited and free. Tsunava Unlimited is a one-time in-app purchase that removes the active trip limit permanently. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their store terms, and refunds are handled through their standard policies. Your unlock can be restored on any device signed into the same store account.

5. Your content

The trips, expenses, and other content you add remain yours. By adding content to a trip you grant us the license needed to store it, sync it, and display it to the other members of that trip - that is what the service does. Members of a trip can see that trip's expenses and balances; invite links grant access to anyone who has them.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, trips, or our systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the service, or circumvent its limits;
  • harass or harm other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Termination

You can stop using Tsunava and delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and the trips you own. Expenses you added to other people's trips remain part of those trips' shared records.

8. Disclaimers

Tsunava is provided "as is" and "as available". We cannot guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep the statutory rights and remedies that the law of your country of residence gives you, and nothing here excludes our liability for death, personal injury, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Tsunava after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Denmark, and the Danish courts have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.

Talk to us first - most things are quicker to fix by email than by anything else. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
